This is a different ball game.
The ham and cheese pinwheels can be served in parties and as dinner in your home.
Ingredients needed:
- Frozen puff pastry (two sheets) – they should be thawed for long hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Dijon mustard (3 table spoons) – they should be divided
- Thin slices of good quality deli ham (12) (10 oz.)
- Freshly grated Gruyere (2 cups) – sharp cheddar, Swiss, Fontina, or other melt cheese (5 oz.)
- Fresh parsley (chopped)
- Thyme or chives for serving (this is optional)
Directions to follow:
Place plastic wrap on the counter, a very larger sheet.
Unfold the puff pastry into the center of the plastic, then roll it into a rectangle of 10 by 12 inches.
Spread it with one and a half of a table spoon of mustard, leave a half of an inch space on all sides. Sprinkle a cup of cheese on them.
Roll off the pastry into a log, starting at the edge. Make the ends even, use the plastic wrap to wrap the log tightly.
